Day 107

Lots and lots of food today. Started off with one of my favorites, the Pugia sandwich from Sole della Terra. Fresh, chewy olive bread stuffed with sundried tomatoes, pecorino cheese and oregano. Now that is some seriously good sandwich material. And a little dessert bite of a crumbly pastry stuffed with apricot jam. That's just seriously delicious.

And Reni made us some, what I'm calling, "Banana Bites" to snack on. Good stuff.

Then, for dinner, we started with some prosciutto as there was first-of-the-season melon at the market today! Such a classic combination and truly delicious. Then made some croustini with some cherry tomatoes flash-fried in a little olive oil and garlic.

For the main part of the dinner, penne alla arrabiata (spicy tomato sauce) and a salad with fennel, goat cheese, red onions and kalamata olives. Fresh, refreshing, and oh-so-good.
