Went to Osteria dell'Orsa for lunch today. Had a great panino of cheese, prosciutto, artichoke and tomato, as well as some tasty french fries.
Went to coffee and had to try this mini-cream-filled-bomoblino. So good.
For dinner, the interns at E.C.Co. invited us out to appertivi, comparable to tapas in Spain. You order a drink and get unlimited access to some delicious food. We went to Le Stanze (Via del Borgo di San Pietro, 1). This was probably my favorite appertivi place yet. Despite being in a really cool setting, with frescoes on the high ceilings, crazy furniture, and cool stuff on the walls, the food was great. I think I went up for about four (little) plates of food, because every time they brought out some new food, I had to try it. The selection included green beans with anchovies and hard boiled egg, brussel sprouts with black olives, croustini with tomato sauce and cheese, mortadella, couscous, mixed grilled vegetables, pasta carbonara (which was excellent), potato fritters, red beans with onion, tomato and cauliflower, fried stuffed olives, kale stuffed with meat, and more that I can't remember, as well as pastries for dessert. Here is a picture of a little of it.
And as if we hadn't already had more than enough to eat, we went out for gelato afterward at Il Gelatauro (Via San Vitale, 98/B). I had pistachio and zucca (pumpkin). This is great gelato, maybe the best in Bologna.
