After taking a lovely walk around the walls of Lucca and through the city and its wonderful piazzas, we stopped for lunch. I had some pizza with salami piccante (which is what we think of as pepperoni in the U.S., which means bell pepper here, not sure who screwed that one up originally), sausage, artichoke and mushroom. Good stuff.
Later that afternoon we took the five hour train ride to Milan. For dinner, we went out to the very trendy Trattoria Toscana (Corso di Porta Ticinese, 58, Milan) for dinner (not sure what is particularly Tuscan about it, nor trattoria about it since it's a trendy bar/lounge/restaurant type place). That said, they had some pretty solid aperativi and artichoke, parmigiano and lemon salad, as well as some pretty well dressed clients, I mean this is the fashion capital of the world.
